Concrete is a structural material formed by the hardening of a mixture of aggregate and cement hydrated by water. Beams are strong against pressure but weak against tensile, so to provide concrete strength in the tensile area for that is used reinforcing steel called reinforced concrete. In concrete in the tensile area, the compressive strength of concrete is not optimally useful because the full load is held by the reinforcement steel, for that the concrete in the tensile part can be varied in the concrete mixture, one of which is a variation in fine aggregta, in this case it is called a laminated beam, a laminated beam is concrete that has two different layers in terms of the material used. In this study, the material used is ceramic powder, this aims to utilize ceramic waste in the world of construction. The research method is a strong bending experiment using a sample of blocks 60 cm high, 15 cm wide, 15 cm high, totaling 9 test pieces with variations of 3 normal blocks, 3 laminated blocks 3% ceramic powder, 3 laminated blocks 5% wood powder. The test results obtained a bending strength value of 17.05 Mpa on normal beams, 16.34 Mpa on 3% laminated beams and 16.43 Mpa on 5% laminated beams. From the results of the bending strength test of laminated beams, it can be concluded that the use of ceramic powder as a substitute for some fine aggregate materials on beams that receive tensile strength can be carried out because the change in the bending strength of the beam does not undergo significant changes.
