Abstract

Soil is an important material that needs to be considered in building a construction. As in road construction, soil is the basic material that determines the strength of the road. The original soil quality in the Lubuk Minturun area, Padang City has a low bearing capacity of 2.3%, which can cause road construction to deteriorate quickly. The soil stabilization carried out in this research is by adding cement and rice husk ash. This test was conducted with clay soil by adding a mixture of 5% cement and 8% rice husk ash, 6% cement and 13% rice husk ash, 7% cement and 18% rice husk ash. The number of samples in each mixture is 5 samples. The CBR test result of 5% cement and 8% rice husk ash mixture is 14.12%. Then the mixture of 6% cement and 13% rice husk ash decreased to 12.65%. And the mixture of 7% cement and 18% rice husk ash decreased again to 12.15%. It can be concluded that the highest cbr value is found in the 5% cement and 8% rice husk ash mixture variation.
