JALUR (Journal of Architecture, Landscape & Urban Design) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal. Its primary aim is to disseminate current and original research articles, scholarly studies, and professional insights contributed by academics, researchers, and practitioners in the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design.

JALUR is published twice a year, in March and September, by the Department of Architecture, Universitas Riau.
Starting from Volume 3, No. 2 (2025), JALUR accepts manuscripts in both Bahasa Indonesia and English. This bilingual publication policy aims to broaden the dissemination of research findings and increase the journal's accessibility to both national and international audiences.

Current Issue
This issue presents seven articles covering a wide range of architectural topics and contemporary design challenges. The first article explores the application of neuroarchitecture principles in communal workspaces to enhance cognitive well-being and social sustainability, while the second investigates louver mechanization systems for dynamic façades to support the development of adaptive architecture in tropical climates. The third article examines the application of Neo-Vernacular Architecture in the design of the Riau-Lingga Cultural Center as an approach to preserving and reinterpreting Malay cultural identity. The fourth article compares the accessibility and architectural facilities of two traditional markets to better understand factors influencing market performance. The fifth article presents the application of folding architecture in designing a Modern Music Center in Pekanbaru, translating the dynamic qualities of music into architectural form and spatial experience. The sixth article analyzes the visual and spatial characteristics that encourage photography and selfie activities in Alun-Alun Pamulang. Finally, the seventh article proposes a participatory architectural framework for a Creative Rattan Workshop in Pekanbaru, highlighting the role of flexible spatial design and community involvement in strengthening collaboration and preserving local craftsmanship.
